While cleaning/tidying my study over the weekend and making room for two new sets of bookshelves, I discovered an unopened padded enveloped addressed to Mrs K and clearly containing a paperback. On opening said envelope I discovered it contained:
and was delivered in 2007 (probably around October and intended as a birthday present). Better late than never. Fortunately the four year gap in delivery hasn't put it hopelessly out of date, as the usages and idiom described seem still reasonably current. Knowing new ways to insult people in French - and to realise when you are being insulted - never goes out of fashion.
