I have booked my tickets for the Paris Opera Ring Cycle next year...
If I can't make it to Bayreuth this will be the next best thing I'm sure. I had a choice between nose-bleed seats with a full stage view and slightly better ones without sight of the sur-titles. Given the excellent acoustic at the Bastille it wasn't hard to choose the former, though I may have to invest in some opera glasses before then.
Fifteen hours of Wagner at less than 10 euros per hour is hard to beat.
