I came across this (and many other) barriers positioned in readiness for Sunday's final stage of the Tour into Paris. The juxtaposition with the directions to the hospital brought a wry smile. If you saw the long steep hill they have to climb just at this point, which I take 15 minutes to walk up and down twice a day and am usual sweating profusely at the end of but which a Tour rider would barely consider a speed bump, you would be as much in awe as I am of the athleticism and endurance of those that make it through the prologue and all 20 stages to the finish.
